Self-lubricating bushings

Self-lubricating bushings carry a solid lubricant in the material so the joint can run with little or no oil. Dominion’s graphite-filled polyimide bushings are made for that duty when temperature and wear also matter.

Dry running is a condition, not a slogan

PV, speed, oscillation vs. rotation, and the mating surface decide whether dry running is honest. We would rather recommend metal or a different grade than quote a bushing that will glaze.

Questions engineers ask

Short answers

Can a self-lubricating bushing still use oil?

Yes. Self-lubricating means it can run dry or with limited lubrication. Some assemblies still see occasional oil. Tell us the actual condition so we do not over- or under-specify.
